As of July 2016, I have been working in Moscow, Russia as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher with a focus on adults. Since December 2016, I have been teaching in Russian state schools. Prior to that, I worked for two years with EF English First in their Kids and Teenagers schools.
As an International Affairs major, my concentration was on Russia and Eurasia, especially for Central Asia. I also wrote my thesis on the democratization process in Kyrgyzstan during the Fall semester of 2013. Other interests of mine are languages, and I minored in German and currently am learning Russian, as well as teaching myself Swedish and Portuguese.
I also have my own part time travel blog, in addition to contributing to the travel blog Kiss from the World. One of my goals in life is to become a travel writer after my time as an English teacher is up.
I travel around Moscow to teach adult professionals of all levels at their offices/companies, in order to enhance the learning experience. In addition to this, I also teach individual lessons to young learners in the environment of their homes.
